Golf at Bridgemill will be a new team event with a 9:00 shotgun start. This is a superbly kept golf course, one of the best in north Georgia. The cost to play golf will be $42 which includes range balls. They are providing free round certificates for close to the pin awards. The wager ante will be $10 which includes payouts to winners, bloody mary’s prior to play, food and a limited amount of beer at the picnic. Jim Kenton will collect the $10 ante at the course prior to the round. Registration for this event will close at 6 pm on September 5th to allow time for Joe Simpson and crew to purchase food/supplies for those registered.

The picnic will again be at Minuteman Recreation  Area (2100 Kellog Creek Rd.).  When you come out of Bridgemill turn right onto Bells Ferry to Kellogg Creek Road (it is the next light past Hobgood Park). Minuteman is 1.5 miles from the light, just before the bridge over the lake. The picnic will feature Joe Simpson’s famous low country boil. There will be a limited quantity of beer and soft drinks/water. Bring anything else you might want to drink. We will again have the chipping contest into a ring about 50 yards out in the water. The defending champion James Bishop challenges all duffers to beat him. One dollar gets you five balls to hit at/in the ring, no limit on how many dollars you can spend. We will also have a corn hole contest if someone wants to run it.
